Dr. K is back with her show Exotic Animal ER, ready to treat all kinds of animals. But where is her practice based?
The newest season of Dr K’s Exotic Animal ER has begun, after Nat Geo Wild announced its return on January 10th.
It’s been a while since there have been new episodes of the show, with the last season being in 2019. Fans have also been struggling to feed their show cravings after Disney+ removed it from their selection.
What is Dr. K’s Exotic Animal ER?
The reality show follows the experience of Dr. K, real name Susan Kelleher, as she treats every exotic animal that comes through her door.
By exotic, we definitely mean exotic. Think wallabies (similar to a kangeroo), lynxes (wild cats) and anteaters. Sometimes, we wonder how they even transport the animals there in the first place!
Judging by the season trailer, we can expect macaws, turtles and Dr K. scratching a pig with a fork.
On the season premiere of Dr. K's Exotic Animal ER, Dr. K has her hands full with patients of all shapes and sizes. Tune in Sunday at 9/8c on Nat Geo WILD! #DrK

Previous episodes have been hard to get a hold of after Disney+ took it off their collection in the first half of 2020. The seventh season of the show was available on Hulu in March 2019 but now the entire series has been removed from the platform.
The only place online is Amazon US – the good news is they have every episode, season 1-9, including the two newest episodes in current S9. Bad news is, each episode will set you back $2.99 or $9.99 for an entire season.
Where is Dr. K’s Exotic Animal ER filmed?
The show has continued to film in Broward Avian and Exotic Animal Hospital, in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
