She has a sister named Gianna Toboni and three brothers – Michael, Joey and another whose identity is unknown but who makes a living as a scout for the Red Socks. Gianna works for HBO as a correspondent and producer for VICE news and Michael, the older of the two, works as a doctor, while Joey earns his living as an entrepreneur in San Francisco.

She then continued her studies at the University of Michigan, where she majored in theater.
