Spoilers: Survivor 45 saw Dee collected five votes to Austin’s three and Jake’s zero, making her the Sole Survivor. When she’s not busy trying to survive, Dee is a Miami resident and is an entrepreneur. However, her on-screen CBS lover Austin originally hails from San Jose, California, and now lives in Chicago.
Are Dee and Austin still together?
Yes, Dee and Austin are still together after Survivor. Host Jeff Probst said a relationship blossomed from the game which continued after filming – and he was definitely on about them!
The CBS stars both follow not just each other on Instagram, but one another’s families, and both confirmed on the Sole Survivor podcast they are dating in real life, albeit the long distance.
Dee tweeted a season promo showing competitor Kendra McQuarrie stating, “I think they are, like, secretly in love,” regarding Dee and Austin. Dee and Austin’s mom had a telling chat in the comments!
Romance lives on despite 7-hour distance
Although Dee and Austin are still dating, it’s across a three-hour flight. Despite this, Dee is good friends with his mom and refers to her as “Mama Coon”. Austin’s reply said it was an “unforgettable journey.”
Austin admits he was “so impressed in Dee being able to stay focused on the game.” Dee “found him hotter, the more scrapes and bruises he got, and admitted “they were attracted to each other.”
Despite their attraction, she said they had an “unspoken agreement” about their feelings as they “both knew they could not risk the showmance they have going on.”
“Once we can finally post, you’re going to see a lot of pictures of us on vacation. He lives in Chicago and I’m in Miami, so we’re taking it slow,” Dee teased on the Sole Survivor podcast.

Dee and Austin developed a strong romance on Survivor 45. Overall, Dee Valladares, Austin Li Coon, Julie Alley, Jake O’Kane, and Katurah Topps made it to the finale as the final five.
They worked together on nearly every vote leading up to the finale, while Austin made it clear he’d never betray Dee because of their close alliance. But she had to admit she blindsided him for the game.
Austin was completely forgiving, telling her, “It’s cool.” Dee admitted on the Sole Survivor podcast she questioned whether Austin would “forgive her” when they came out of the show.
